Qinkun Yao
I am a PhD student in Economics at the University of Mannheim. My research interests are about inequality and social mobility, with an emphasis on macroeconomic and structural mechanisms. In my current project, I study how the availability of job opportunities shapes labor market dynamics across the income distribution. I document widening differences in job ladder characteristics between high and low income workers over time. I am also interested in exploring topics related to wealth mobility and intergenerational redistribution in future work.
