Francisco Scalco
I am an MSc Economics student at the University of Mannheim and a trainee in the Directorate General Economics of the European Central Bank.
I previously completed a BSc in Economics with a minor in Mathematics at Mannheim, where my thesis studied how exchange-rate shocks shaped labor-market formality across regions with different exposure to traded-sector activity. My research interests are in trade, macro-labor, and inequality, with a focus lately on how employment conditions shape households’ access to consumer credit.
